What is Eleven Labs?

Eleven Labs is an audio and voice AI generation tool. That sounds simple enough, but there is so much you can do with this tool. A user can type in text and have the tool generate high-quality audio, create translations in different languages, and even replicate a voice.

What can it be used for?

While a tool like this can sound really awesome, many of you working in education might be thinking, how can YOU use this? Well, we have a few suggestions…

1. Accessibility - With Eleven Labs, you can easily convert written content in a course into audio tracks for a student who needs it.
2. Voice Overs - If you work in e-learning or instructional design, you know that too often we have situations where we want to create engaging simulations, but doing voiceovers for things like this can be difficult. With Eleven Labs, you can quickly create a diverse set of characters.
3. Quick Content Creation - Another thing we deal with in e-learning or instructional design is having to create a lot of media for a course. With Eleven Labs, if you want, you could have a subject matter expert quickly write out some content for you and generate a voice-over for it or even replicate that person's voice (with permission, of course!). We believe there is a future where AI could make content creation easier in education, and this is one of those options.
