Elsa Friis & Scott FreschetThis week we are joined by Dr. Elsa Friis and Scott Freschet from Alongside.
Dr. Friis is a licensed psychologist, researcher, and behavioral health advocate who specializes in utilizing technology to expand access to youth mental health support.
She firmly believes in co-creating products in partnership with the youth and stakeholders who will utilize them. She received her MS in Global Health and PhD in Clinical psychology from Duke University where she developed an app to support the implementation of a family therapy intervention in Kenya.
Elsa enjoys being able to leverage her clinical, research and public health training to ensure Alongside is working in partnership with schools to provide evidence-informed support to students across the country.

Scott, is currently the Head of Marketing, Sales, and Success at Aroundside, but he is also one of the people who founded the company. He along with others saw a need in schools for mental health resources that was not being met, so they decided to try to help by building a technology that could come in and fill the gaps while still empowering the human professionals to do what they do best. Since then Scott has been helping schools wherever he can through his work with Alongside.
