This Week's Guests:

Shoelace

At FETC, we met Lauren Lutz-Coleman from Shoelace Learning! Shoelace is all about increasing student reading comprehension skills, but they do it creatively. They build games with similar mechanics to games like Clash of Clans. They seamlessly blend game mechanics with educational content that helps students grow in their comprehension.

If you want to learn more or check out their games you can do so by going to shoelacegaming.com.

Antimatter

Josh and Will were just walking around FETC on the second day when we bumped into the one and only Jonathan Libov from Antimatter! Jonathan joined the podcast back in Episode 121 to talk to us about how their tool could help leverage memes to enhance education. Ever since that episode, we have been in love with this tool! Anyway, Jonathan sat down with us at FETC to introduce us to their new AI tool called Sorcerer and you do not want to miss this tool. It is an AI that you can use to ask your students questions and gauge mastery.

Check it out at antimatter.systems/sorcerer!

Beanstack

Next, we talked with Dave from Beanstack, which is a tool that helps schools and classes read together! Beanstack is a tool that allows students to keep track of their reading. It also makes it fun, teachers can set up challenges and then students can earn streaks and badges. The amazing thing about all of this is that it can be done collaboratively so students can compete against each other or other classes. They dont provide content, but provide a platform to help motivate students to read the content you already have.

To check them out go to beanstack.com.
