Calendly
Calendly is exactly what it sounds like, a calendar scheduling tool that you can use for coordinating meetings or registrations for events. In the education space calendly works great for professors who want to set office hours that students can pick slots during, advisors who want to set up appointment sign ups, and even trainers who want to set up a multitude of different professional development sign ups. With calendly you can set up a single meeting sign up for yourself, group events, and more.
Calendly specifically has four different types of meeting schedulers:
Each of these meeting types can be set up as in person, Zoom/Teams, and phone meetings. You can also form questions to each sign up and configure automatic reminders that go out to those who signed up before the meeting starts and follow up information when the meeting is over.
If you want to see an example of how Calendly can be used take a look at this example from Josh’s teams Calendly that they use for faculty support.
Calendly is a freemium tool so we recommend to get started go to calendly.com and sign up for a free account. This free account will let you create a free event that people can use to schedule a meeting with you. Note most advisors or instructors we know get away with this plan no problem.
