What can it be used for?

Mentimeter is all about being able to create slides with content that integrate in activities of all types. You can add…

All these activities can be spliced in with normal presentation content, which can lead to more engaging lessons. While there are a lot of different ways to use these tools we believe Mentimeter is most useful for creating great engaging formative assessments in your lessons.

For example with Mentimeter you could plan to do 20 mins explaining your topic or lesson for the day, then easily provide a survey or question to get students thinking about the topic you discussed, then display the results of that survey or question live in your presentation. This both shows you how your students are doing at understanding the topic and can reveal new realizations to your students. Mentimeter makes it easy to seamlessly integrate all of this into a single presentation.

How do I get started?

To start using Mentimeter we recommend signing up for a free account first. With a free account you can create unlimited slides, with 2 questions per slide, and 5 activities per presentation.

With the free account you dont get the ability to import other presentations, so we recommend starting by creating a new presentation you need to make in Mentimeter and testing it out. If you love the tool you can see what upgrade options are available to you on the Mentimeter Pricing page.

Also, as you start trying to use the tool you can learn more about using it by going through the Mentimeter Beginner’s Course and can find more ideas by checking out Mentimeter’s Templates.
