What is Visme?

Visme is a graphic media tool that allows you to create engaging and interactive presentations, infographics, reports, videos, and other visual content. You can choose from a variety of templates or create your own designs from scratch, and add animations, charts, and interactive elements to your content.

What can it be used for?

As mentioned above Visme is a graphic media creation tool, which essentially means it is here to help you and your students create visualizations. Whether you or your students want to create presentations for class or video content, Visme has you covered. You can learn more by watching Josh use it in this video.

Now many of you may already have some ideas or ways you could use visual media in your classroom, but just in case you dont here are a few ideas from us.

• Digital Storytelling - In Visme you can have your student create a visual story that uses graphics and media. Imagine instead of having student write a paper about a historical figure, you had them create a media presentation that tells that person’s story.
• Decision Trees - Have you ever needed a student to explain a process to you or how they might do something depending on certain situations? With Visme you can have them create a decision tree or step by step graphic to display their understanding of a process.
• Mind Maps - In Episode 4 we talked about how mind mapping is a great way to have students brainstorm or start to think of a topic. Visme is a great tool option for that.

How do I get started?

As with most of these tools we recommend just jumping in first with a free account. You can sign up for free here. From there start playing around to get the lay of the land and if you need to learn how to use the tool you can check out Visme’s great video tutorials.
